Wa Ying has been blessed with a team of dedicated teaching staff with strong mission in offering quality education to students since its re-establishment in Homantin half a century ago. They have laid a solid foundation for the school’s democratic administration, innovative curriculum and balanced student development. Celebration of the school’s 50th anniversary offers Wayingers a golden opportunity for reunion and thanksgiving. Some founding and experienced former teachers came back to recount stories of our good old days, sharing the pride as a Wayinger. There was a thanksgiving session for the dialogue between alumni and their teacher coaches or mentors.
Thanksgiving Reunions of Student Organizations, Clubs and Societies
Other than classrooms and sportsgrounds, extra-curricular activities or other learning experiences are the important platforms for students’ holistic development and bonding. 50 years have passed, our student leaders hosted the reunion gatherings on 26th June 2021, with an attempt to reconnect the former student leaders and their teacher advisers. In tracing the history and legacy of their organizations, clubs or societies, they pledge to become the torchbearers of the good tradition, documenting the core values they cherish. While they were amazed by the sharing and experiences of their alumni, their big brothers/sisters appreciated their innovative ideas and new development.
